The work of Llano et al., 2015 in the Open Access Journal of Chemistry, shows the application of the summative analysis in conjunction with pulp parameters that highlights process guidelines and valorization alternatives towards the transformation of the traditional sulfite pulp mill into a lignocellulosic biorefinery; this work is within the BRIGIT European Project “New tailor-made biopolymers produced from lignocellulosic sugars waste for highly demanding fire-resistant applications”. http://www.brigit-project.eu/ . The aim of the paper of Martin-Torre et al., 2015 is to develop a new generalised kinetic mathematical model that allows estimation of the kinetic constants of the hypothesised release mechanism of Zn, Pb, Cd, Ni, Cu, Cr and As from contaminated marine sediment as a function of the pH during the pH-static leaching test with continuous pH control; this work is an I+D+I result from the CTM2011-28437-C02-01 Project (Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness).
